Project:
Enhancing Machine Safety: The TEG Risk Approach
CHEP
CHEP, a Brambles subsidiary, provides pallet and container pooling services across Australia and New Zealand. To enhance machine safety, CHEP sought an independent review to ensure compliance with internal and external standards, aiming to identify and mitigate safety hazards across their sites.
Project:
Enhancing Site Traffic Management
CHEP
CHEP offers pallet and container pooling services in Australia and New Zealand. To enhance safety, they sought an external review of site traffic hazards. This review aimed to ensure thoroughness and provide actionable recommendations to mitigate these risks effectively. Read how TEG Risk supported CHEP toward greater safety.
Project:
Streamlining Machinery Risk Management
Silver Fern Farms
SFF faced a challenge: understanding the risks associated with their machinery and where these risks were located. With risk assessments completed to different standards and formats, and spread across multiple file locations, an up to date, centralised database was non-existent and not all plant had been assessed.
Project:
Safety in Design: Tauriko Greenfield Gib Plant
Winstone Wallboards
WWB planned to construct a large plasterboard plant, however they needed to ensure the highest safety standards were achieved and that the equipment coming out of Europe and North America would comply with NZ standards. Therefore they engaged TEG Risk to apply a Safety In Design approach to the project.
Project:
Reducing Risk Through Innovation
Sanford
Sanford approached the TEG Risk team of safety engineers to conduct a risk assessment. The risk assessment highlighted the need for a Performance Level ‘d’ safety solution that would stand up to the high-demand hostile environment, with a design that would be re-usable across the entire fleet. Project:
Legacy Equipment Machine Risk Assessment
Alliance Group Limited
TEG Risk was engaged by AGL to carry out machine safety risk assessment across their entire processing network. As one of the largest meat processors supplying export markets, this required the evaluation of 7 sites, 2800 machines and nearly 7000 risks. This was a massive undertaking and unlikely to have been done on the same scale.
Project:
Machine Safety Project Management Services
New line design review and procurement support
A large dairy company had an automatic, in-line, legacy waste compactor with multiple high severity hazards. TEG Risk was engaged at the feasibility study stage to undertake a business case assessment and prepare a CAPEX request to address these machine safety risks.
Project:
Machine Safety Project Management Services
Scoping and Specification
In 2017, following a site-wide risk assessment on a pharmaceutical ingredient plant, we extracted data from MinRisk to prepare a mechanical Safety Requirement Specification (SRS) and scope of works document to address numerous mechanical guarding safety risks.
Project:
Keeping workers safe with machine lockouts | WorkSafeProject:
Machine Safety – LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out)
Audit – Goodman Fielder
To comply with new Lock Out Tag Out policies, Goodman Fielder needed to carry out energy source and LOTO audits on all of their plants across 16 manufacturing sites.
Project:
Safeguarding Design
Wool Processing And Manufacturing
A wool processing company needed to increase their wool carding throughput to meet growing demand. This required specialist legacy equipment which was to be obtained by rebuilding a mothballed piece of equipment.
Project:
New Machine Risk Assessment / Health and Safety by Design
Plasterboard Plant Build
TEG Risk were the Safety Engineering consultants for a new plasterboard plant being built by a North American company in Tauranga, New Zealand. Our role was to ensure a Health & Safety by Design approach was applied prior to the build process and to ensure that the plant was safe and conformed to AS/NZS 4024:2019 throughout the installation.
Project:
Risk Management of Machinery
Bremworth
TEG Risk carried out Summary Machine Risk Assessments for Bremworth after which they committed resources to implementing the required remedial works to their machine safety critical risks. Excel spreadsheets were used to update registers, records and reports. This was a time consuming exercise that was made more difficult by the multiple sites and COVID-19 lockdowns.
