Jason Carter

Safety Engineer

Jason has more than 30 years experience in various industries from Pharmaceutical, Dairy Processing, Manufacturing and Packaging in the fields of Electrical and Automation Design and development, Project Management and Safety Control Systems.

Jason is competent in electrical system design and PLC programming, including programmable safety controllers.

Jason has had roles as an Electrician (UK), Electrical Consultant (UK), Senior Automation Engineer (UK), Electrical and Automation Team Leader (GEA Avapac) and Services Group Manager (CTEK). Previous roles have enabled Jason to design machines and systems complying with NZ/AS, European and American standards for Functional Safety, Hazardous (Explosive) Atmospheres, as well as GaMP standards and validation protocols.

Having experienced a wide range of industries Jason adds real insight and value around industrial safety to the TEG Risk team of experts.

Qualifications include:

  • BEng (Hons) Engineering with Business (IEE Accredited).
  • MEngNZ (Engineering NZ).
  • Member of the New Zealand Society for Safety Engineering (NZSSE), a Technical Group of Engineering New Zealand.
