Keshawa (KC) Senaratne is a key member of the TEG Risk team, specialising in combustible dust risk mitigation. With extensive experience in hazardous area classifications and the specification and design , KC plays a crucial role in helping clients manage explosive atmospheres and ensure safety in high-risk industrial environments.

KC’s expertise is grounded in his deep understanding of hazardous area classification under AS/NZS 60079 standards where he was formerly the Lead Electrical Engineer for GEA Avapac designing packaging machines for Milk Powder. Where he excels at area classification, identifying potential ignition sources and implementing preventative measures related to Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA). including the design and specification of safety controls related to EEHA, all tailored to minimise risks in environments where combustible dusts pose a serious danger.

With a strong focus on practical safety solutions, KC supports clients in achieving compliance with international standards, ensuring operational safety and minimising the risks of dust explosions. His collaborative approach and attention to detail make him a trusted advisor for industries such as food and beverage manufacturing, where the handling of combustible dusts is a constant challenge.
